All ride paperwork has been posted today (Friday 11th). However, some envelopes do not have the correct stamp value on them so be prepared to collect and pay the difference from your local Post Office!!
The College Ride is running plenty of classes to suit all riders from an 80km CR to an 18km NCR. The venue has excellent facilities including permanent stabling, toilets, showers, water, canteen etc. There is plenty of room for parking, camping and corralling.
2009 sees the Pony Club celebrating its 80th anniversary and we are honoured that The College Ride is hosting the first Pony Club National Endurance Championships. As of 2009 Endurance is an official PC discipline and is generously sponsored by Carr & Day & Martin. All PC riders have had to qualify at EGB and PC Branch rides around the country and we are looking forward to welcoming them in September.
Pony Club Entry Fees:
All PC competitors receive a discount on their entry fees and ride at EGB member rates of £28. Accompanying riders of those children under 12, who are non PC competitors ride as Non EGB Members and therefore pay £33.
Note: Could all Pony Club entrants please ensure that they have applied to the PC Head Office with a copy of their Mastercard to obtain an entry form, as all entries must be verified by the PC Head Office before being sent to the EGB College Ride entries secretary.
The route begins by leaving the main outdoor arena before travelling along the BE standard cross country course - please don’t jump the jumps! It then uses grass, tracks, bridleways and the occasional very short sections of quiet country lanes before returning to the main arena again.
